Brooklyn to Get Largest Urban Campground in United States!

According to an Associated Press story getting picked up by papers around the globe, Interior Secretary Kenneth Salazar announced Tuesday that the feds are building the largest urban campground in the United States at Floyd Bennett Field, a former airport used by Amelia Earhart and Howard Hughes. The story says there will be 600 campsites built as part of President Barrack Obama’s Great Outdoors program. Look for more on this in South Brooklyn Post.
