Major changes are afoot in downtown Brooklyn. Of course we’ve seen the high-rises going up, and soon, the NBA Nets stadium. Along Fulton Street, long the shopping area for low-income African Americans, the city has wooed H&M, Gap, a Shake Shack and more. Gentrification city.
Now the city is announcing it sent out an RFP for a retail store to take over a 37,000 square foot space at Court Street and Joralemon St., a municipal building with large windows. Could be a big box store.
