The Metropolitan Museum of Art was thronged this weekend with last-minute viewers to the Alexander McQueen fashion exhibition. The wait to get into the show was as much as three hours–1.5 hours outside the museum, and then 90 more minutes once in, according to Juliet Dickey, a Manhattan event planner who attended on Friday.
Attendees witnessed more than the amazing show, but a sprinkling of celebrities who joined the throng, including Andre Balázs and many others, who with the crowd inched through a lean walkway to view the ensembles.
It was one of those random “buzz” moments, an art show that’ll be discussed for years. Read more at The New York Times.
