When my daughter was little, I warned her sternly not to touch the radiator (which in our first apartment got scalding hot) nor the stove. She was the kind of child who listened. Even so, one evening she accidentally toddled into the radiator in the kitchen and burned her tiny little finger. It wasn’t a bad burn, but it still sears me that I didn’t cover that radiator, as my mother in law had warned me to. Anyway, the great blog A Child Grows in Brooklyn has a how-to guide for baby-proofing your radiators. If you are a Brooklyn parent, the blog is chock full of useful information. Check it out!
