Mile End to Expand Menu

By Lisa M. Collins

New York Magazine’s Grub Street blog reports that Boerum Hill’s beloved Montreal-style smoked-meat sandwich shop, Mile End, is expanding its menu. I ate at Mile End recently, savoring a beef brisket sandwich ($9) and the poutine, a Canadian dish that, at Mile End, features PERFECT French fries covered with cheese curds and mushroom gravy ($8). It’s worth the hype.

Next week, according to Grub Street, owner Noah Bernamoff and his chef Aaron Israel, whose last gig was sous-chef at Torrisi Italian Specialties, will launch a new dinner menu that hopes to breath new life into traditional Jewish dishes. They will keep the current selections in place.
