The New York Times is reporting that the WikiLeaks documents reveal al Qaeda had its sights on destroying the Brooklyn Bridge. It was plain for all to see that about a year and a half ago, the police presence on the bridge seemed to increase, and many wondered with all the boarding up along the sides of the bridge, blocking the gorgeous views, if security wasn’t at play. Indeed, it was.
Apparently, cutting the suspension wires was the method explored for downing our historic bridge. My impetus here is to say, Good Luck Bastards! We will shoot you down! One can only marvel at the effectiveness of our NYPD in keeping things relatively quiet round here.
