Dover, the new restaurant by Battersby owner-chefs Walter Stern and  Joseph Ogrodnek, is open on Court Street at 1st Place, in the former location of Vinzee’s Magic Fountain. The original restaurant, Battersby, will remain open on Smith Street.
The restaurant is focusing on seafood, and it feels more upscale than Battersby, which opened quietly on Smith Street back in 2011 in half of what was formerly Patois, and quickly became a favorite restaurant of food writers from New York Magazine, New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The New Yorker. Now the chefs have a book deal.
Dover will seat about 55 — more than double the seats at tiny Battersby. Large windows open to the street.
