Daily News Shines Light on Cobble Hill Success Academy Controversy

By Lisa M. Collins

Apparently, according to a story in The New York Daily News, some parents at the three public schools in the school building at Court Street and Baltic Street are claiming that the city Department of Education has spent money to make the new charter elementary school there, Success Academy Cobble Hill, look like a new school, while their facilities are shoddy. But the DOE says that it spent far more, at $2.1 million, to upgrade the public schools, than it did on the charter. The story is a bit inconclusive, but check it out.
