Manhattan Court Considers Whether NYPD Stop-and-Frisk is Unconstitutional

Police with the NYPD say the Bloomberg administration policy of “stop-and-frisk” — in which police stop and pat down and question mostly black and Hispanic boys, teens and young men — helps to prevent crime. A Manhattan federal court is considering the cases of three such stop-and-frisks to determine whether the practice is unconstitutional.
