CALL FOR ENTRIES - UPCOMING BROOKLYN FILM, MUSIC & ART FESTIVAL
May 5, 2011
1:46 AM

We are an independent film company based in Brooklyn. We’re co-producing a one-week block of screenings, set to take place August 2011 at a newly-renovated theater space steps from Brooklyn’s Borough Hall.
Ourselves and the theater are hoping to turn this screening into an annual festival featuring film, music and art by local artist. To make it a success, we want to show not only our own films, but shorts, features, animation and documentaries from other talented New York filmmakers.
This Film Festival in 2012, like this one-week screening in August, will celebrate the local filmmaker; filmmakers who were born & raised in Brooklyn (like myself), Queens, Manhattan or any of the five boroughs as well as filmmakers who have moved to this great city and have become New York filmmakers. There is not one festival in NYC that celebrates all the local talent in that way.
At this time we are looking for films to submit to the theater. There is no submission fee for this screening. And the films don’t need to premiere at this screening to be eligible. We will view every entry and make our recommendations to the theater, but they will have final say on which films are accepted.
You can enter a short, feature, animation or documentary, on DVD, 2 copy’s of each film you enter, you can enter as many films as you like, it can be 10 years old it can be 1 month old as long as it is complete and you own the rights. If you know other filmmakers who fall under this category please feel free to spread the word. Please first email us what role you played in the film (director, writer, producer, actor, etc), specify if you where born and raised in the city and where and if not, how long you have lived in the city and where. Synopsis and trailer for the film, if you have one. After we will give you the address and you can mail your DVDs to us. Please have all films to us before the end of May.

Thanks we look forward to hear from you.
