61 Local is a bar and eatery that takes the notion  of “public house” seriously. It’s cavernous, brick-exposed airy space is shared warmly with community groups hosting events, classes, talks, etc. It’s beautiful and the food and drink are superb. 61 Local is located at 61 Bergen between Boerum Place and Smith Street, just off the Bergen stop on the F Train.
Saturday, Jan. 25, Gowanus Girls, the grown-up version of the very popular Curious Jane summer camp, is holding a n afternoon of crafting, wine and gossip. Sounds like a fun way to get out of the house.
