The city is getting stricter on restaurant inspections. We’ve all noticed the prominent displays of everyone’s health rating, As and Bs mostly, in windows, near the door. This week, the health department shut down Dumbo’s Bubby’s restaurant, for a long list of violations, and then reopened it when the problems were fixed a day later. ReBar, shortly thereafter, was shuttered as well.
Perhaps this is a new age of cleanliness in our city’s kitchens. Good, as long as it’s fair to business owners.
Eater has this on the shuttering of Bubby’s in Dumbo.
