Local politicians are hosting a meeting on Monday, Dec. 9 to discuss development and future plans for the Gowanus area. With a new mayor set to take office Jan. 1, the locals have said they want to provide a clear message on what folks want to see in the Gowanus area, whether that’s luxury condos and retail or something entirely different.
Bridging Gowanus’ Community Planning Meeting will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at PS 372, at 512 Carroll Street. There will be a focus on zoning, land-use planning and long-term ideas.
The hosts should be in attendance, including City Council Member Brad Lander, Council Member Stephen Levin, Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, N.Y. Assemblywoman Joan Millman, and State Sen. Velmanette Montgomery.
