Festival Season Upon Us

By Lisa M. Collins

Don’t let work or the kiddos or your exhaustion keep you from taking part in the city’s free music festivals — and increasingly — unfree festivals. Point being, there’s music all around, from now through August. Make a plan. And go.

There’s the River to River Festival, and Celebrate Brooklyn, which puts on free and sometimes awesome music events in Brooklyn Bridge Park over the summer.

The Northside Festival (hipster fest in Williamsburg, but it ought to be awesome.)

Summerstage free music in Central Park, which has had countless epic moments over the years.
