Dumbo’s Governor Not Reopening

By Lisa M. Collins

Folks: Dumbo’s Governor, flooded and badly damaged during Sandy, is not reopening. Read it here: http://dumbonyc.com/2013/02/05/governor-restaurant-will-not-reopen/

Here’s our prior post, about a fundraiser the restaurant was holding. The owners say they’ll repay anyone who donated:

Dumbo’s critically-acclaimed new restaurant, Governor, was flooded with five feet of water and seriously, seriously damaged by Hurricane Sandy. The owners, also of Colonie (on Atlantic Ave. at Henry) and Gran Electrica (in Dumbo), are holding a fundraiser to try to save the restaurant that the New York Times recently said was shattering the myth that Dumbo is without good restaurants.
