
Language and Laughter Studio children to perform two short plays at Invisible Dog Art Gallery: Thursday

Anonyme and Nos Cousinailles are two ten minutes French plays inspired by the theme Retrouvailles (Reunion), featuring students from the Language and Laughter Studio, a language school in Boerum Hill that teaches French and Spanish through theater and music.
Both plays – to be performed by children ages 9 to 11 — were awarded at the Lycée Français of New York’s annual festival “Première Scène†on March 2012. “Nos Cousinailles†won the “Grand Prize†and “Anonyme†the “Prize of originality†and “Best Interpretation Prize for a francophone actress.â€
The short stage productions celebrate the power of theater, uniting American, French, Russian and German children beyond differences of culture and language, while combining comic and absurd situations.
