The Huffington Post, Gothamist and others are shedding a light on a Brooklyn councilman’s effort to save the G train. The train’s service through Brooklyn was extended when the F train stop at Smith-9th Street was closed for renovations and repairs as part of the Culver Viaduct renovation. When that project is done, G service may again get truncated… unless this new effort is successful. Apparently, G ridership is up, and the MTA is taking notice.
