The renovation project that stalled for years over the sidewalk in front of Raccuglia & Sons Funeral Parlor on Court Street, on the corner of Sackett, is now underway. The scaffolding is down and — well, the corner looks entirely different. It’ll be interesting to see what the final new product looks like. One can only hope they keep the vintage cars and men with fedoras and red feathers and overcoats that direct traffic during the big funerals. It just wouldn’t be Carroll Gardens without all that. It’s a street corner that hasn’t changed since 1950. Until now, that is.
