Get your tickets to the Feb. 29 Grand Re-Opening of the library at P.S. 32, located on Hoyt between President and Union. The truly remarkable little library was funded through grants and amazing hard work by librarian Adam Marcus and his library team of parent and teacher volunteers. PS 32 is really a story of the Little Engine That Could, it’s a fun place to be and Marcus hopes you’ll bring the kids. He’s always got stuff going on with Dr. Seuss and reading events and lots to engage kids in the library environment.
The Grand Opening event will feature literacy activities, free books, live music, refreshments, and a visit by Borough President Marty Markowitz. Markowitz’ office came up with the lion’s share of the funding, through city tax dollars, to pay for the library’s construction, computer lab and renovation.
Check out our story on the amazing things accomplished by Marcus at the school, which just a few years ago didn’t even have a library, and the blog for the library at http://www.ps32.org/library-blog/.
