Enjoy a slow roasted pig from Fatty ‘Cue, cocktails and other edible pleasures at Wednesday night’s fundraiser for Slow Food, which, among other things, supports healthy food programs in New York City public schools.
From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., VIPs will get special treatment (tickets $200), while the main event takes place from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (tickets $100).
the (s)low down features artisanal cocktails by some of the finest mixologists in town, a whole pig roasted for us by Fatty ‘Cue, and other seasonal treats created by Slow Food NYC Snail of Approval and other “slow friendly” establishments. A raffle and silent auction will take place, featuring auctioneer Matt Timms, of The Takedown, the auction will offer one-of-a-kind, gustatory experiences that cannot be bought anywhere at any price, such as lunch with Leonard Lopate of The Leonard Lopate Show on WNYC.
