This weekend, Nov. 11 to Nov. 13, from Friday to Sunday, the Invisible Dog gallery on Bergen, near Smith, will host the Celeste Prize, a renowned international competition for best contemporary visual art. More than 50 artists are represented from locations around the globe.

The art will take over three floors of Invisible Dog, a large industrial space, for a second year . In addition, the gallery is promoting the Brooklyn Artists Studios tour.

Watch a slideshow of the 50 Celeste finalists here: Winners receive cash prizes totaling 20,000 €, promotion, travel reimbursement of 10,000 € and five artists will exhibit at the Tria Gallery. Two artists will be invited to a residency in Mexico and Italy.

Celeste is a Web platform in which artists and arts professionals from around the world share common interests in contemporary art, encourage new projects, and promote their work in a positive and active community of like-minded individuals. Every year, Celeste Network organises activities and provides services.

“We are happy to host an international event and bring to Boerum Hill and our neighborhood a large visibility around the world,” said Invisible Dog Gallery Director Lucien Zayan.
