This is a little kooky, but with the mad school crowding going on in our new Brady Bunch Gotham, it’s not too surprising. New York Times has a story this weekend about a Westchester County private school that’s busing kids in from Manhattan, and even Brooklyn.
On another note, parents in the West Village and Soho are up in arms over a proposed zoning change by the Department of Education. The schools there are crowded, and so the city is proposing reshuffling kids to spread them out in available space there. But meanwhile, two new schools are on schedule to open in two years.
