The husband-and-wife who own the health food and product convenience shop on Smith at Bergen, the Smith Organic Market, have a week to vacate the premises, and are selling everything in the shop for 50 percent off (and accepting cash only.)
Turns out the owners, who have run the shop for 20 years, took on some “greedy” partners who sparked a dispute with the landlord, and the landlord gave them 15 days to get out of the shop. They didn’t have a lease, according to the woman I spoke to, who is very worried, and said the shop is her “baby.”
You’ll find great deals on vitamins, healthy cereals, and natural soaps, lotions and shampoos. I stocked up on Kiss My Face soap and lotion, and some Alba and Dr. Bronner’s.
