The Robertsons, July 2011.
Millicent Lindley and Josh Robertson live with their two little boys in a 900 square foot apartment with one closet on Baltic Street, between Henry and Clinton, in Cobble Hill.
Not only is the place really small; apparently, it is very messy. So two friends nominated the family for a reality TV show called Clean House. Lo and behold, the Robertsons were selected as one of the messiest contenders in NYC. So this week, film crews roped off the block and razored in for some apartment surgery.
Milly, as she is known by many, says the crew followed them all last week. Workers boxed up stuff, moved out stuff, asked probing questions about the problems of living as a family of four in a tiny home, with lots of clutter, and had a nice young man with a headset follow them nearly everywhere.
Milly’s husband Josh is the cofounder of the local blog BococaLand, and he wrote a great piece about his experience on the site. Seems residents on the Robertson’s block were fussing because the reality TV crew took up parking spots.
Saturday, in Brooklyn Heights, the crew was to film a yard sale of the Robertson’s stuff. Proceeds will go toward the design makeover of the apartment.
Milly says she’s excited.
Let’s hope it turns out great for the Robertsons!
