By Alexandra Glorioso

Love for The Tree: Color
BY ARCADIO ESQUIVEL, CAGLE CARTOONS, LA PRENSA, PANAMA - 6/16/2008 12:00:00 AM

Sat., April 16 to Tues., April 26, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: This Spring Break, at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, learn about amazing plants, animals, and people. Use sustainable materials to make your own all-natural personal hygiene products, practice recycling skills, meet threatened animals, and more with workshops from a myriad of local organizations, including Cornell University Sustainable Design, Gateway Research Learning Center, Salvadori Center, GrowNYC, Solar One and the Staten Island Zoo.

They will be kicking the week off with their Eco-Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat., April 16 and Sun., April 17 where visitors can learn about local green resources.

Every day is a new adventure as you learn how to keep yourself and the planet healthy and strong. Plus, they’re open all week at 9:30 a.m. – come early, stay all day. All Spring Break programs are included with Museum admission.

Celebrate Earth programs are made possible by John N. & Gillett A. Gilbert and The Holborn Foundation.
