Founded by Scribe in the Summer of 2009, with a Dream Team of resident romantics, Wax Poetics, Halcyon, Raw Fusion, Great Weekend, and Fusicology present this monthly all-vinyl oasis. I Love Vinyl: On the B-Side is the Brooklyn extension of the franchise at its new home, Southpaw. All-stars Master Khan (Great Weekend), Ge-Ology, Amir (Kon & Amir), Scribe, OP! (Decon) and Jon Oliver (The Main Ingredient/EVR) comprise the Dream Team. The sounds are mind-wide, foot-friendly, and snap crackle popping. Anything is fair game, but you will probably hear some soul, disco, dilla, boogie, hustle, hip-hop, old-school house, no wave, new jack swing, dancefloor jazz, latin, funk, electro, and afrobeat. No pretentious bullshit, no dress code, no commercial radio nonsense, and no laptops allowed.
