Hurry for French Immersion

By Lisa M. Collins

It might be too late, but I thought I’d put this up anyway:
The registration deadline for the dual-language program in Kindergarten at PS 133 is this coming Friday March 4th. All children have to be born in 2006.
There are two steps in the registration process:
1/ You need to fill out the DOE registration form for Kindergarten and bring it back to PS 133 (4th Ave and 8th St in Brooklyn). The deadline for this application isthis Friday.
2/ You also need to register your child for the dual-language on the school’s website: http://schools.nyc.gov/SchoolPortals/13/K133/TopLinks/Book+of+the+Month.htm . The deadline is also March 4th.
If your child is anglophone, please register him here:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SYXWXMG
If there are more applications than spots available in the class starting in September of this year, the school will hold a lottery.
If your child is francophone, you can register him for the French proficiency test. Tests will start on March 7th.
The form is available here:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SYH55ZP
All the information is available on the school’s website: http://schools.nyc.gov/SchoolPortals/13/K133/TopLinks/Book+of+the+Month.htm
And don’t forget the French after school every Thursday afternoon at PS 133: 3.15 pm for francophone students and 4.30 pm for anglophone students.
