Dec. 16, 17 and 18:  OK folks, this is far outside of South Brooklyn. But it just might be worth a trip to northern Manhattan, especially if your folks are in town. It looks like a feel-good holiday event without the usual holiday trappings. Grammy Award-winning saxophonist, Paul Winter, presents the inspiring Winter Solstice concert, with the Paul Winter Consort, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, at 111th St. and Amsterdam Ave. The musical show celebrates the soltice, the longest night, and shortest day, of the year with music that combines elements from African, Asian, and South American cultures with jazz.. Check out the videos of performers.
