Book Reading/Painting Class

Local painter and writer Sara Woster will read from her early reading children’s books, the City & Country Book Set, and teach a free landscape painting class for kids at Hiho Batik on Saturday, May 17, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In the painting portion of the event, Woster will explore landscapes, both the city and the country versions, in new ways. She’ll discuss with the kids famous landscape paintings of all styles, explore paint and painting tools, and get super messy. The painting will be going on throughout the event so you can pop in whenever.

The event is sponsored by Home Grown Books in celebration of Children’s Book Week, May 12–18.
