Carroll Park Kids Concert Series Director Simmi Degnemark was honored at the Women’s Herstory Induction Ceremony by Borough President Marty Markowitz for her tireless efforts to produce and promote the concert series.
“For me it’s a dream. I get to bring music and the arts, family and education to the borough of Brooklyn,†Degnemark said at the ceremony.
This year, all four Carroll Park concerts will be in collaboration with area schools to benefit the arts. The concernts are hoped to raise money for the park, as well as for arts programs at the schools.Â
Tentative 2012 dates:
Food and Fun 2PM to 5PM, music at 4
June 24th or 25th, July 18th, August 25th, September 29th
