There’s always something good playing at Barbes, a great wine bar/bohemian-world-music cafe that will cheer you from the darkest of moods. Friday at 10 p.m. check out Clare and the Reasons, described by The New York Times: “Clare and the Reasons played sweetly intricate chamber-pop that somehow mingled folk-pop, Philip Glass, cabaret oompah and the Beach Boys – for starters – behind the songwriter Clare Muldaur Manchon’s poised high voice, with an endearing quaver.”
