Swoon, a graffiti artist so big she has a Wikipedia page, and exhibits in solo shows at galleries such as the Deitch, lives in New York and has done several works around this area, in Red Hook and the Gowanus. This piece is on Union, between Bond and the canal.
Swoon’s real name, according to Wikipedia, is Caledonia Dance Curry, and she hails from Daytona Beach, Florida. Go figure!
