Talent Variety Show

By Lisa M. Collins

Leo Allen has written for SNL. He's hosting The Skint's Talent Show at The Belle House Sept. 8.

The Skint, a great website that tips-off readers to very cool, free and inexpensive arts, music and cultural events as well as offering big discounts on treats and stuff throughout NYC, is presenting a variety/comedy show, “So You Think You’ve Got Talent Idol With the Stars” on Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Bell House. Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m.

Comedian Arden Myrin

The judges are Leo Allen, who has written for Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central; Arden Myrin, who stars on “MADtv” and is the writer and star of the upcoming MTV show, “Bottomfeeders,” with Fred Savage and Bruce McCoy; and Brooke Van Poppelen, who’s appeared on vh1 and writes for the truTV Network. HuffPost named Poppelen one of their Favorite Funny Females.

The pre-show is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and sponsored by Google, reps of which will be on hand to give tutorials on Google Places and hand out swag.
