I almost missed the deadline to post something on Veteran’s Day. But that just wouldn’t be right. If you were moved to do something today to reach out to the thousands of injured coming home from the Middle East, you can make a donation to The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust. The non-profit received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, which checks out charities to make sure they use money well. The DAV Charitable Service Trust, according to the site, “supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs, meets the special needs of veterans with specific disabilities – such as amputation and blindness – and aids and shelters homeless veterans.”
Just an idea.
