Moroccan Beauty Event

By Lisa M. Collins

Saturday, March 19: Shen on Court, near Degraw, hosts a “Kahina Day,” and invites customers to try out the stylish Moroccan beauty products, made by a women’s collective, that have become a favorite of celebrities. Part of the proceeds go to the women’s collective.

In addition to testing Kahina, Shen will feature mini facials and eyebrow threading. Enter your name in a raffle to win a bag of Kahina goodies. Those buying two or more Kahina products will receive a free gift and a raffle ticket.

Kahina is an organic skin care range based on argan oil. The oil is nourishing for face, body, hands and hair, and is packed with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamin E.  It absorbs quickly into the skin so you’ll not be left with any greasy residue on your face, and works wonders on dry, brittle hair to give back  shine and lustre. Argan oil has been the beauty secret of Moroccan women for centuries to combat dryness from the harsh desert climate.

Berber women hand-pick the argan nuts, which grow only in Morocco, to make the products, and 25 percent of profits go back to their co-operatives.
