The rumors are abounding, that Battersby, easily the most hyped and celebrated restaurant in Carroll Gardens, is going to move into the large space on Court Street, at 2nd Place, that formerly housed Vinzees, a very short-lived hamburger and shake joint.
The owner of the building that houses Vinzees confirmed to South Brooklyn Post that a restaurant is going into the space, but he did not want to name the establishment. Also, employees at the Beeeer and gourmet sundries shop next to Vinzees also said a restaurant is coming in, though they didn’t know which one.
The Vinzees space is larger than the tiny space now occupied by Battersby on Smith, in half of what was once Patois. The Vinzees space also, somewhat famously, includes a paved yard on Court Street that could serve as an outdoor cafe.
