A pickup truck struck and killed a woman on the sidewalk at Clinton Street and Atlantic Avenue on Saturday morning, according to NBC New York.
The woman, 48-year old Martha Atwater, was struck and pinned as she was leaving the bagel shop on the corner, the news report stated. The truck had been driving north on Clinton when the driver lost control. The woman was pronounced dead at Long Island College Hospital.
