The Brooklyn Paper has this fascinating story about a) How cops have been issuing $250 tickets to folks breaking a 9 p.m. curfew in Cobble Hill Park, bordered by Clinton, Congress and Verandah Place in Cobble Hill, and b) reports of public sex, drug deals and a robbery in and around the park at night (wow! and it seems so, so quiet there). Some neighbors are saying “fooey,” and asking that the curfew get pushed back to 10 p.m. in the normally tranquil, lovely-landscaped little green escape near the very good breakfast, lunch and dinner spot Ted & Honey and the kind of mind-blowing Jewish-Spanish-tapas dinner place, La Vara.
