Brooklyn Beats at Dekalb Market

By Alexandra Glorioso

Dekalb Market at Night

Fri. Nov. 4: Brooklyn Beats at Dekalb Market

Hey everyone, if you haven’t heard or haven’t witnessed… Dekalb Market is completely awesome. Food vendors in crates, crazy good DJs, a stage with Downtown Brooklyn as the backdrop. Go check it out – it’s awesome.

Dekalb Market  is open seven days a week.  The whole market is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.  Coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches starting at 8 a.m. and all other shops open at 11 a.m. Resident shops and restaurants vary their hours according to what they offer.  Weekend vendors trade in the market from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday.

Located at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue Extension and Willoughby in Brooklyn, Dekalb Market can be easily reached by public transportation. The Flatbush Avenue Extension frontage has the Dekalb Avenue subway entrance to the B, R and Q trains and the Fulton Mall has the Hoyt Street entrance to the 2 AND 3 trains. Adjacent neighborhoods include Fort Greene, Dumbo and LIU across Flatbush, Metrotech and the downtown business district, and Fulton Street. The site is also a walk away from major attractions like the BAM, Brooklyn Bridge and New York Transit Museum. Parking available in the neighborhood.
