Farm-to-Table Southern Supper

Sat., Aug 20: Farm-to-Table Southern Supper, with Ted and Amy’s Supper Club in Fort Greene. Meet some random people and eat some delicious, farm-fresh vegetables, pared with drinks and wine, prepared by a talented local chef.

About this week’s featured chef: An active member of the Brooklyn food community, Karol Lu runs Paisley Farm CSA’s Williamsburg pick-up site, has won and hosted countless local cooking competitions, and is the pie maven at Second Stop Cafe. When not making or promoting good food, Karol works as an environmental scientist and is an avid pool player.

Menu: Seasonal Cocktail with Bulldog Gin, Cornbread Salad, featuring: butter lettuce / bitter greens / cucumber / tomatoes / buttermilk-lime dressing, and a Summer Spread: tomato sandwich / corn pudding / seasonal pickles. Gumbo with collard and rice, Seasonal Fruit Sorbet, Butterscotch Pie, and a selection of wines.

This meal will be vegetarian, with produce sourced from Paisley Farm as available. We’ll be confirming reservations from Paisley Farm CSA members first- then the general public. Sign up and we’ll keep you posted.
