Sat., July 2nd: Come take a dip in the Douglass Degraw Pool. Across the street Saturday is a party celebrating the opening of the popular pool. Last year it almost didn’t open, but a successful campaign by locals and politicians found the money to keep it going.
Lots to do while the lifeguards take their midday break at 2:30 – no entrance fee.
Enjoy music of the band “Omar’s Boat” called “New York’s hippest jam band”, food of the neighborhood, free amusements: large enflatables called “Moonwalk” and “Soccer Fever”, face painting, and pick-up chess games. The kids can silk screen their own T-shirts and everyone can buy their popular longitude & latitude T-shirts
This event is sponsored by Friends of Douglass/Greene Park, Brooklyn Boulders & Park Slope Civic Council.
2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Free for the event, $10 for silk screening t-shirts
