Recycling Event: Sat., April 30, PS 29 Schoolyard: Start saving the following items now and you can divert them from the landfill to be properly recycled.
Electronics Collection by the Lower East Side Ecology Center: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All of the following will be accepted (working or non-working):
- Computers (laptops & desktops, servers, mainframes)
- Monitors
- Printers, scanners, fax-machines, copiers
- Network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc.)
- Peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, etc.)
- Components (hard drives, CD-ROMs, circuit boards, power supplies, etc.)
- TVs, VCRs, & DVD Players
- Audio-visual equipment
- Cell phones, pagers, PDAs
- Telecommunication (phones, answering machines, etc.)
Textiles Collection by Wearable Collections: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
All of the following will be accepted (no matter what the state):
- Clothes
- Matched Shoes
- Belts
- Bags
- Stuffed Animals
- Handbags
- Hats
- Curtains
- Linens
- Towels
Plastic Containers with Lids Collection by the Park Slope Food Coop Recycling Squad & CHIPS Soup Kitchen: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Park Slope Food Coop Recycling Squad will be collecting takeout containers to donate to CHIPS Soup Kitchen – please bring clean, large and sturdy takeout containers with lids: including the flat rectangular and flat round, tall soup and large yogurt containers.
