With this week’s warm front, AccuWeather.com’s reporter Alex Sonowski warns against driving accidents. When it warms up, conditions can become more hazardous.
“One of the biggest misconceptions with ice is that, the warmer the temperature, the less slippery ice is. Interestingly, just the opposite is true,” Sonowski says.
At 3:48 a.m. this morning the National Weather Service released a hazardous weather outlook for Southeast New York.
The statement reads that “wind chills will range from zero to five above from midnight tonight through 7 a.m. Tuesday.”
