Marx Bros Monday

Mon., Jan. 24, 4 p.m.: A comic masterpiece!  The Marx Brothers are at their zany best in this sidesplitting satire. Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho) is named dictator of the tiny country of Freedonia and declares war on neighboring Sylvania over the love of wealthy Mrs. Teasdale. Mayhem ensues when Sylvania sends inept spies Chicolini (Chico) and Pinky (Harpo) to obtain top secret information.  (USA; 1933; not rated; black and white; 70 minutes)

Part of Big Movies for Little Kids, a film series for children ages two and up and their caregivers. The program screens films every other Monday (except holidays) at Cobble Hill Cinemas during the school year.
