Hi there South Brooklyn! We launched South Brooklyn Post two weeks ago, and we’ve surpassed 8,500 page views! We’re thrilled as can be and want to thank everyone who dipped in for a read and participated in stories, submitted ideas and events, and featured us on blogs like A Child Grows in Brooklyn, The Cobble Hill Blog, BococaLand and Brooklyn Feed. I’d also like to thank businesses that stepped up to support South Brooklyn Post with advertising dollars. And–to the staff, especially our design director Jimmy Crawford, and photographer Joshua Kristal–it’s a thrill to work with such talented people. It’s been a great start and I hope this little magazine soon becomes a valuable resource for the community.
Look forward to this: Every Thursday at 10 a.m., we’ll publish a news feature on an issue that impacts our community. We’ll roll out other weekly features as time goes on, but for now, you can depend on a new story every Thursday.
Fridays we’ll roll out listings of things to do over the weekend and early in the week.
Please visit throughout the week for feature stories highlighting South Brooklyn designers, restaurants, shops and businesses, as well as stories on interesting people making waves.
We encourage your comments. You can hit the “comment” button at the bottom of every story to weigh in on issues, and please do let us know what you think of the site, what you like, what you don’t like, what you’d like to see more of.
Thanks and see you soon.
