Thanksgiving Ideas

Local Roots NYC has pulled together a Thanksgiving delivery-style CSA (now that’s smart) with turkey, veggies, fruit, bread and baking shares available.

Order your Thanksgiving feast at Court Street Grocers (download the form). Options include a bird (standard or heritage) and sides such as stuffing with sausage, roasted fall veggies and cranberry orange relish.

The last day to order a Thanksgiving feast from Naturally Delicious is Nov. 18. The free-range natural birds are delivered ready to cook, and sides include roasted brussels sprouts with smoked bacon and glazed sweet potatoes. Order by Nov. 1 and get a free pie.

Prime Meats is offering a limited quantity of uncooked Amish Lancaster County turkeys. As well, the restaurant’s three-course Thanksgiving menu includes apple chestnut soup, confit turkey leg and pretzel dumpling stuffing and pumpkin pie. Reservations are accepted.
