With its cheap skate rental ($14) and views of the New York Public Library and Midtown, Citi Pond at Bryant Park is perfect for family outing or a memorable date. You’ll find teenagers showing off, TV-celeb-looking folks and regular everybodies — its a nice mix.
Lines can get long but move fairly quickly if you get there early.
Citi Pond is located in Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan and open daily, from now to March 3. You can also find ice skating at Central Park and Prospect Park.
Rink hours: 8 am- 10 pm, Sundays through Thursdays and 8am- midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free with the $14 skate rental charge. Locker rentals and private skating lessons are available.
