Sat., May 7, 1 p.m.: Green-Wood’s Great Women Walking Tour will highlight influential and interesting women of the 19th and 20th centuries buried at the massive graveyard, including pioneering doctors, Irish patriots, abolitionists, notorious women and more.
Sun., May 28, 1 p.m.: Bird watching tour through the cemetery, a stopping point for migratory birds.
You’ll also see the dazzling azaleas, dogwoods and other spring blooms, not to mention ponds and sculptures, that make Green-Wood a “must-see†for everyone ready to forget the long winter.
Saturday “Great Women” tour led by veteran Greenwood tour guide Ruth Edebohls.
Wear walking shoes, as the tour could be hilly and strenuous.
$10 for Green-Wood Historic Fund members / $15 for non-members.
