The death of Carroll Gardens resident Elizabeth Borst, who was found in a pool of blood and with severe head trauma on her kitchen floor on Feb. 22, is still under investigation. Borst lived at 388 Clinton St., at the corner of Sackett St.
“We are still waiting on further study, further tissue and toxicology testing,” said Grace Brugess, spokeswoman for the Kings County Medical Examiner’s office.
When the results are available, the medical examiner’s office will determine if the death was a homicide or not, or whether the autopsy is inconclusive.
The police as well are still investigating the death, said a detective with the NYPD.
The death has sent a chill down the spine. The husband of the former NY Post letters editor, Italian actor Gaetano Lisco, has said that his wife had a drinking problem, was on medication, and was in extremely poor health in the days before her death. Lisco had asked a local deli employee to check on his wife while he was at work. The employee discovered the gruesome death.
